I am Dr. Daryl D. Green, and I am thrilled to share my journey as the new Dean of Langston Business School. This role represents a career move and a profound commitment to shaping the future and providing Hope.
My path to this prestigious position has been marked by dedication, perseverance, and a burning desire to make a difference. Leaving a successful tenure at an elite Oklahoma university was a tough decision, but it was a call I couldn’t ignore. Langston University’s significance in Oklahoma, as the only historically black college in the state, drew me in, and its rich history echoed deeply.
My journey began at Southern University A&M, where I was surrounded by brilliant Black minds, instilling in me the expectation of excellence. After a rewarding 27-year career as a senior engineering manager, I transitioned into academia with a profound sense of responsibility to give back.
As I assume the role of Dean, I am committed to serving not just as an administrator but as a beacon of Hope. Our mission is clear: to empower our students, especially those in underserved communities, to rise above challenges and reach their full potential. We are not just educators but mentors, role models, and builders of dreams.
Langston Business School has a unique niche; I am here to help it shine brighter. Together, we will innovate, bridge gaps, and uplift our students; they are our hope for a better future.
I believe in the power of Hope in a world that sometimes seems uncertain. It’s not just a word; it’s a force that drives us to create a brighter tomorrow. Let’s build a legacy of excellence and hope at Langston Business School.
With gratitude and inspiration,
Dr. Daryl D. Green
Dean, Langston Business School
