It was another lively Donuts with the Dean at the Langston University School of Business—but this one had a special twist! In true Louisiana fashion, we brought the Mardi Gras vibes to Moore Hall! With festive colors, laughter, and the joyful spirit of community, we celebrated more than just a sweet treat.
Congratulations to the incredibly talented Mrs. Barbara Young for transforming the space with her stunning Mardi Gras-themed decorations. Her creativity always brings energy to our events; this time, she brought magic! But what made this gathering genuinely unforgettable?
President Ruth Ray Jackson surprised us with an appearance! Most university presidents are too busy to attend student socials, but not our president. She didn’t just show up—she showed out! President Jackson, a proud daughter of South Louisiana, brought the essence of Mardi Gras to life. She took over the music, shared her love for Zydeco, and gave us a personal glimpse into the traditions she grew up with.
As a fellow Louisianan (from the North side!), I couldn’t have been more proud to share this cultural moment with our students, faculty, and staff.
Events like these remind us that leadership is not about titles but presence.
Thank you, President Jackson, for making Donuts with the Dean so special! 💜💛💚
